Juliette Oeffling

Ballet & Early Education Director

Juliette, a native of the Chicago area, began her dance training in 1999 with Performing Arts of Spring Grove, under the direction of Alyce Keaggy Brinkmann. She was a member of PASG’s performing company, Illinois Youth Dance Theater, for 13 years. While achieving her AA degree in dance, Juliette began performing with the College of Lake County's Fine Arts Department, where she was accepted into the Prairie Spirits Dance Troupe. She was a member of the troupe for 4 years, participating in several productions including the annual Fear No Art festival where she performed alongside professional dance company VADCO.

 

Juliette has been teaching and choreographing in the Chicagoland area for 7 years. She has extensive training in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical/contemporary, pointe, yoga, capoira, and tap, as well as training in Kinesiology, and Early Childhood Education. Juliette has performed in several classical productions including Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, The Little Mermaid, Coppelia, and Paquita. She was also given the opportunity to learn the neoclassical repertory of George Balanchine. Other performing opportunities include Chicago Takes Off and the Milwaukee Arts Festival. She is also a new member of Dance Masters of America.

 

Juliette is thrilled to be working with mentor Alyce Keaggy Brinkmann again as an instructor at IDC and Ballet Mistress with IYDT. Juliette is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for dance to her students,as well as providing dancers with professional training and the tools to help them grow in their own ability, knowledge, and confidence.

 

She is continuing her dance education with Giordano Dance Chicago and Joffrey Ballet.
