Illinois Dance Conservatory (IDC) provides premier dance training for students ages 3 to adult, striving to inspire, develop, and sustain a love of dance in every student. We have 2 locations, IDC in Wauconda and our satellite studio, IDC North, in Fox Lake.

Alyce Keaggy Brinkmann, the Owner and Artistic Director of IDC, enjoyed a successful professional dance career including 13 years as a leading artist with Milwaukee Ballet Company. She has over 35 years of experience providing top-quality dance instruction to students in Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs and is also founded Illinois Youth Dance Theatre (IYDT) a non-profit world-class pre-professional youth ballet company in 2000.

Alyce’s extensive experience combined with IDC’s professional faculty, association with IYDT, and a history of developing professional dancers, puts IDC among the elite dance schools in the Chicagoland area.

IDC offers training in a variety of dance styles including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and musical theater. Our goal is to educate students of all levels that dance is equal parts art and athleticism, inspiring students to approach all of life with grace and confidence. IDC cultivates elegance, expressiveness, and musicality as students grow through the Pre-Academy, Academy, and Pre-Professional divisions. The Pre-Professional program provides the finest in dance instruction, allowing dancers to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the professional dance world, as a dancer, dance instructor, choreographer, or the many other avenues this industry can offer.

Whether a student is new to dance or has experience and is looking to take their dance training to the next level, IDC has a program to meet their needs. We offer classes for young children, teens, and adults and give you the ability to sign up for full programs or select classes a la carte to create the program that best supports the student's goals.
