Alyssa Casey
Ballet
Alyssa started dancing at age 2 and has been training with Illinois Dance Conservatory (IDC) since 2009. She is versed in various dance styles, including hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and modern, while also training pre-professionally in ballet.

Alyssa has competed in Youth America Grand Prix semi-finals, placing Top 12 in the Classical Ballet category in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022 and Top 12 in the Contemporary category in 2022. She attended American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive in 2019 and has participated in numerous master classes over the years.

Alyssa has danced lead roles in several IYDT productions, including Clara, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy in “The Nutcracker”, and Alyce in IYDT’s first production of “Alyce in Wonderland”.
​
In addition to her ongoing training with IDC, Alyssa enjoys teaches IDC classes and choreographing for IYDT productions. She plans on pursuing ballet professionally after graduation.
